Sono state annunciate le nomination per la 33a edizione dei Blues Music Awards. A quota quattro conducono Tommy Castro, Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Tab Benoit, Johnny Sansone e Sugar Ray and the Bluetones. Con tre menzioni seguono Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Lazy Lester, David Maxwell, Ana Popovic e Johnny Rawls. Nomi forse più conosciuti a chi mastica rock e pop, come ad esempio George Thorogood e Joe Bonamassa, sono stati inclusi per la prima volta in lista. Jay Sielman, direttore della Blues Foundation, ha sottolineato l'alto numero di artisti -una trentina- che ha ricevuto una nomination per la prima volta. La consegna dei premi avverrà il prossimo 10 maggio al Cook Convention Center di Memphis, Tennessee. Le nomination:
